Introduction

The NMHU Cultural Technology Development Lab exists to develop solutions for museums & cultural institutions. Our goal is scalability, extensibility and the use of ubiquitous hardware.

Museduino is our open-source system for exhibits and installations. Museduino boards are printed in Oregon, assembled on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Museduino Kits

Each Museduino Kit includes an Arduino Uno-pin-compatible shield (see here for other compatible boards) and three satellite boards: two Smorgasboards and one External Power board. The kit will also contain 3 CAT5/RJ45 cables and board documentation.

Projects

Our team is busy testing and implementing the Museduino in exhibit installations. In these last weeks of summer, we’re installing projects in Carlsbad, NM, developing circuits for the new nature center at Acadia National Park, and preparing for workshops at the Santa Fe Art Institute and at the ASTC conference in mid-October. We’re also pretty excited…
